DIAZED (BOTTLE)Diazed Fuses, commonly called \"Bottle\"Fuses, are available in five sizes, ND to35 Amps, DII to 35 Amps, DIII to 100Amps, DIV to 100 Amps and DV to 200Amps. Fuse accessories are sized tomatch. Each size fuse body has adifferent diameter to fit only into theappropriate Screw Cap and Fuse Base.(See illustration pg 10.)Also, the fuse tips have differentdiameters, depending on their currentrating. The diameter of the tip matchesthe diameter of the hole in the AdapterScrew to insure that no fuse with ahigher rating than intended for the circuitcan be installed. This prevents damageto the circuit or equipment the fuseprotects. Additionally, fuses and AdapterScrews are color coded to avoidmismatching; for example: 10 AmpDiazed fuses have red pop-outindicators on their head, matching thered ring of the 10 Amp Adapter Screw.When a Diazed fuse has blown, thecolor coded indicator on the head ofthe fuse will pop out, giving visibleindication through a glass window in theScrew Cap.The Fuse is held in place by the ScrewCap, which is screwed into the FuseBase. Diazed Fuse Bases are availablein one and three pole designs.
