摘要：The present invention provides a controller that can write an operationprogram for a control circuit to a memory and a method for writing data, whilesuppressing an increase in circuit area and an increase in manufacturing cost. An ATAregister is connected to a host computer. A flash ROM access register is connected to
the ATA register. When a special command code is sent to the ATA register from thehost computer, data (a command and microcomputer control software) sent from thehost computer is sent via the ATA register. A decoder decodes the data sent to the flashROM access register and generates a format, an address, and data for writing themicrocomputer control software to the flash ROM.
