includingorderstatus,billing,payment,andcreditmanagement.Inadditiontotheback-officefeatures,mySAPERPalsosupportsInternetsales,salesenteredthroughmobiledevicessuchashandhelds,andbasiccallcenterfunctionality.TheSalesOrderProcessing(orordertocash)scenariodescribesthecompleteprocess,startingwithpre-salesactivities,movingtothecreationofthesalesorder,continuingwiththesalesorderfulfillment,andendingwiththeinvoicingofthesalesorderandtheparallelprocessofthecreationofthepostinginfinancialaccounting.

Thebasicsalesorderprocessingcycleforaserviceormaterialconsistsofthefollowingphases:Pre-SalesActivities

Pre-salesactivitiescanbeinquiriesorquotationsenteredinthesystem.Thesecanthenbeusedasreferenceduringthecreationofasalesorder.SalesOrderCreationandAvailabilityCheck

Apickingstatusisrecordedineachdeliveryitemforthepurposeofschedulingandmonitoring.Thisstatusindicateswheretheitemisinthepickingprocedure.Inthesystemstandardsettings,itisaprerequisiteforagoodsissuetobeposted,thattheitemsthatarerelevant,havebeenpicked.Therefore,adeliveryquantitymustequalapickingquantityintheoutbounddelivery.

TheWarehouseManagementsystem(WM)isfullyintegratedintheLogisticsExecutionSystem(LES).Forexample,youcancreateaWarehouseManagementtransferorderdirectlyfromtheoutbounddelivery.Thecurrentstatusofthe

WarehouseManagementprocesscanalsobemonitoredfromthedeliveryorfromthesalesorder.

GoodsIssuePostingFunctions

Theoutbounddeliveryformsthebasisofgoodsissueposting.Thedatarequiredforgoodsissuepostingiscopiedfromtheoutbounddeliveryintothegoodsissuedocument,whichcannotbechangedmanually.Anychangesmustbemadeintheoutbounddeliveryitself.Aftergoodsissueispostedforanoutbounddelivery,thescopeforchangingthedeliverydocumentbecomesverylimited.Thispreventsanydiscrepanciesbetweenthegoodsissuedocumentandtheoutbounddelivery.Inthisway,youcanbesurethatthegoodsissuedocumentisanaccuratereflectionoftheoutbounddelivery.

Ordersettlementforaproductionordermeansclearingthedifferencesbetweentheactualcostsincurredandthecreditsthattheorderreceivedfromgoods

receipts.OrdersettlementdemonstratesthecloseintegrationbetweenProductionandManagementAccountinginmySAPERP.Normally,aproductionorderissettledwhenitiscompletedorbeforemonth-endclosing.Duringsettlement,youcanpostcostvariancestooneormorecostobjects.Forexample,youcanpostvariancesduetoexcessivescraptoascrapcostcollector,andvariancesduetopoorperformancetoaproductivityproblemcostcollector.Alternatively,youcansimplyposttheentirevariancetoinventory.ThesystempostsanentrytotheG/Lpricevarianceaccountwhenyouworkwithstandardcosting.
